What is it that makes me so afraid to be me? What is it that makes me want to change/alter who I am to feel worth, esteemed, acceptance maybe draw attention? Do I really know who I am and am I, who I am; or do I only think I am who I say I am?

We usually lie to ourselves with a lot of dishonest thoughts and answers to questions. Socialization tells us what people like and what they prefer to see and they set expectations on you. Some primary examples of this are the television programs, music, media just to name a few. The focus becomes your ‘image’.

Who isn’t placing emphasis on titles or stage names, though you were given a name at birth for a reason? Placing emphasis on found abilities and possessions, we create our personal idols. How you dress and what you do becomes you? What about our close and dearly loved ones, what they see and say becomes what I see and say about myself.

If Christ is in you and Christ is in the Word, as a matter of fact He is that Word – the Logos – and there is that same God who even conceptualized “you” to begin with “our Father” , then these places are where you find your identity. We know what was true and said in the beginning – that God made man in His own image and likeness. But what’s also true about the beginning?

John 1:1 –  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. And then, John 1: 14 –  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Really, how many of you suffer in silence from low self-esteem (your worth or abilities), self-confidence, self-concept (what you think about yourself) or self-perception (how you see yourself), is it rather a case where you pride yourself in these things?

Look, hold on to this with your heart today and be ye liberated!
YOU WERE MADE IN GOD’S IDENTI-CAL LIKENESS TO REFLECT HIS GLORIOUS IMAGE AND TO LIVE AS SUCH.

READ the WORD and hide it in your hearts, applying it to your life because it is by this method you BECOME like the WORD, therefore like JESUS, therefore like God IN HIS IMAGE AND LIKENESS; a.k.a. the person YOU were made to be in the first place – your IDENTITY.

It is so interesting how the very first man and woman were made this way and placed in a position to experience “paradise” and God appointed authority, with great privilege and favour and personal commune with Him – THIS IS WHERE WE ARE MEANT TO BE and I find it interesting how Paul put this in the letter to the Romans “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God…”, beloved He provided a way even to redemption, not just from our sins but from our shame, pain, guilt; our DARKNESS! Jesus said Himself “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” and that “..I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”. One of the buried secrets to accessing this full life is knowing your identity. Despite the standing truth that we do live in a fallen world and we’re subject to pain, disappointment and sin still. BELOVED PSALM 23 WAS/IS NOT ONLY FOR DAVID.

God is a triune being, He chose to be just that – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You were made a triune being – A Spirit with a Body and a Soul. With that being said it means they are a TEAM, all were created integral to each other for that intended purpose to make you – an Individual. God even chose for Himself, to work as a team of three, who could fathom this? But, do we see now the likeness?

Now about God’s image – Full of Glory, Holy and Pure, a King, High Priest, Father, Ruler, Leader, Counsellor, Guider, Friend, Lover, and this list could go on.

Searching for happiness or satisfaction? Some end up merely living in vain never really experiencing life in its fullness; they forget or sell ‘self’ to attain a particular position or image in society or they become so much of their own soul that their spirit takes the silence. Bear in mind the image you seek to reflect of your-‘self’ is really dependent on what decisions you make concerning your soul and the likeness you walk in. What you are, is a spirit with a soul and a body, but who you are is in your soul and your physical distinction comes in the appearance of your body. Therefore, your soul and your body are important to your existence and “living life” as an INDIVIDUAL. Your spirit MUST take dominion if you are to live rightly, taking directive, guidance and counsel from Holy Spirit. According to Romans 8:14 The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to make the child of God more like the Son of God!

Today, be encouraged in the words of Paul to the Corinthians in his letter, knowing yourself speaks to identity, truth, true love and maturity. Beloved, You are BEAUTIFUL! You are IMPORTANT! Ever since Genesis 1: 26 because you were made in His image and likeness.
