It Is Always God’s Will That You Be Healed – Minister Bertram Morley

Healing Crusade Session 2

Every healing from Genesis to Malachi was by faith in what Jesus was going to do. Every healing since then was by faith because of what Jesus did.

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:1-5

Isaiah asked the question who shall believe our report. This means that if we believe God’s report, His arm will be revealed to us. We have to believe His report. Unbelief hinders us from receiving from God. We have to accept what God says and His word. Why did Jesus say that He didn’t see such a great faith in all Israel to the lady who wanted the bread (Matthew 15:21-28)? We need to know our position in Christ and we have the right to the things of God. The lady was not a Jew and yet still she had faith. Some of God’s children don’t even have faith themselves. When Jesus was lifted up, we were given the right not to perish because of sin or sickness. It is finished. The work of the cross has already been done and we need to be reminded of that. God has given us all things pertaining to life including health (2 Peter 1:3).

Jesus has given us power and authority over the enemy. The enemy has no power, God has all power on earth and He has given it to us. Nothing by any means shall hurt us. As saints, we are to walk in the authority that was given to us. We have the privilege in the Kingdom because we are sons. We have to command and declare and see things come to pass. We shouldn’t be begging to be healed but we have the authority to declare complete healing. Jesus’ purpose on the earth was to destroy the works of the devil. We are also called to destroy them. We are sons and we have a right. We are not dogs but we are born in the Kingdom of God. We are free because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. God is looking for us to stand on His word and to speak it.

Jesus was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquity. Because of His sacrifice, we are supposed to be healed but why are we still sick? We are healed because of His blood. It was never intended for the body of Christ to be sick.

13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:13-14

Four Ways To Be Healed
– If any be afflicted, pray.Affliction comes from persecution. When we are being afflicted, we have to change the situation by speaking to it. We change the situation through prayer.

– Lay hands on the sick

– Take communion

– Be mature in the Lord (Romans 8:11) . God is calling the church to walk in divine health. God will quicken our bodies by His Spirit.

“Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:4

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

Now the  just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38

But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Galatians 3:11
