Impacting Earth With Heaven – Apostle Stephen Holford

(November 17, 2013)

Matt 6:9 & 10 “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” John lived out the Kingdom and when he prayed “. . .thy kingdom come” it was already there. However, we still need to declare:”Kingdom of God, come” because not everyone is a part of God’s kingdom. Part of our assignment is to live heaven since we are sons of God here on earth. We must live from heaven’s perspective rather than this world’s, and enjoy heaven now.

Jesus lived heaven on earth. Wherever he went, his atmosphere and mandate were of heaven. It is a lie that we cannot enjoy heaven on earth. We can tap into God and partake of Him until our atmosphere becomes one of heaven. Everyone in NDM can live heaven on earth as we allow heaven’s atmosphere to become a part of our lives. God wants to change our mindset about what heaven is. Heaven has to change us before we can impact others with heaven. We therefore need to change what we feel and think about heaven- indeed we tend to believe that experiencing heaven is only applicable when life ends.

We were sent to earth for a purpose. We are here to bring change to earth. We are here on earth with tremendous power. We have to understand that the Church functions best in the market place, schools etc. Where you were brought up and how you came into this earth and who your parents are is not important since your assignment is from heaven not from earth. God says you are everything to me because of the assignment that He has placed upon your life. Our true identity is in Christ alone not in what others say about us, who recognizes us or how many friends we have. God calls you His righteousness and His glory and His child. If we focus on what others say, we will never fulfill our mandate here on earth. Jesus was born in a stable and in the ghetto of Nazareth but His assignment was greater than where He was born.

Jesus was slandered and falsely accused, not only you, so do not allow anyone or anything to hinder you. You have an assignment from heaven where you came: John 20:21: As the Father sent me, so I send you. Phil 3:20 Our citizenship is in heaven. You also have to know what your assignment is.

A world view is taught when we are educated. We are told by science that if it cannot be tested and proved then it cannot be real and many believers live from a world view and not a kingdom view. Many young people are impacted by this world view and we too can find ourselves saved, but functioning from such a perspective. God operates by faith not by fact. We live by what He says. We have a lot of believers though, whose faith is messed up, who go by what they see.

Heb 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command. Faith helps us to understand that the universe was made by God’s Word. Part of our assignment is to believe that God is a healer. Thus, if there is a woman with no uterus we can believe by faith that God has replaced it. All that is required of us, is to declare. As a child of God there is recreating

power in you. Just as God spoke and it was, when we align ourselves with heaven, we impact earth and when we declare a thing, there is nothing to impede it happening. Heb 11:3 God said let there be light and it was so. What can be seen and touched was made by the One who cannot be seen and what cannot be seen can only be seen by those who are a part of the unseen.

Medicine can heal but God heals. If we are going to change things in the earth, heaven must flow through us and the church is the only entity that has the power to bring heaven to earth and to impact earth with all that heaven is. We have to tap in and draw from all that heaven gives if we want to change earth.

Eph 1:19-23 That power is the same. . .Eph 2:6 And God raised us up with Him and seated us with Him. So we are where Christ is and we live in both dimensions and this is why we can draw from heaven and impact the earth. Where we function from is above every demonic spirit. Demons and hell are no match for you, as in Christ, there is no spirit that can withstand you. The problem is that our atmosphere is filled with fear and doubt and the enemy will try to fool us with this. We function from, sit in and act from a position of authority. Who else is going to change things and do the work of God if we allow the enemy to cause on to focus on people who do not like us or on the rest of the cares of this world?

Matt 11:2-5 Imprisoned John the Baptist sent two of his disciples to ask Jesus if he was indeed the Coming One and Jesus told them to tell him that the blind see, the lame walk and the deaf hear because of Him. Our lives should not be taken up with our bills, but with how we can crush the enemy. Seek God’s kingdom and He will take care of the things in your life that need to be taken care of. He sent Peter to the shore and out jumped a fish with money in its mouth for Peter to pay the taxes. Jesus never had to worry about where He would find a meal, because heaven gives. (So too we must give and not hold back, as holding back is the world view).

Matt 16:18-19 Jesus said:”On this rock I shall build this church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against me.” He also said that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven. There are some things that you have to bind before you loose. Our assignment is to bring change and to bring the reality of God’s world into this world in order to impact our community, friends and those around us with heaven. Our destiny is to go to heaven. (Sometimes we confuse destiny and assignment!)
