Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him. So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything. And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.” Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly. Then He sent him away to his house, saying, “Neither go into the town, nor tell anyone in the town.” Mark 8:22-26 (NKJV)

Jesus has the reputation of being a healer, a deliverer and an emancipator of freedom. He asked the blind man to follow Him although he was blind. Jesus wanted the blind man to leave his current position so that he could come into his transformation. God takes us into the unfamiliar and the uncomfortable before we receive what we asked for. He makes our situation uncomfortable to prepare us for the next level. If we keep doing the same thing, we will get the same results. In order for us to get a different results, there must be change.

Following Jesus is not easy. When we follow Him, we must hold on and not let go. We must stay connected. Blind faith is knowing who Your father is but not knowing where God is taking you. God is going to do something in our lives. Some people follow God with a strong commitment and desire but during the process, they let go. As a result, they become upset with God because things seems not to be happening. We need to stay connected to the vine and hold onto God.

When taking a new journey, there will be bumps in the road. This Christian life will have bumps and trials. However, God is taking us to another level. We just need to trust God and the process, He is taking us through. He is taking us out of our comfort zones and taking us to the unknown. When this happens, we forget where we were. We forget our past.

Before you go, God takes you down. Though You slay me, yet will I trust You. God will complete the work that He has started in our lives. We are in a process and God is about to finish what He started in us. What He has started in us, is different from what He has started in others. Therefore we cannot live in the vision of others. Our vision is unique and different. It is ours. When we have that vision, we no longer live by our feelings but by the Word of God.
