A rear view mirror is for glancing, but make sure fathers that you are looking forward. Women, live 1 Corinthians 13:14 and please give men a little break. Men, do not hold on to past successes.

Revelations 15:20 lets us know that if we do not follow Christ, we are cast into the lake of fire but if we commit our lives to God, our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Being obedient to God is important. In John 14:23, Jesus said that anyone who loved Him would obey His teaching and anyone who did not would not obey His teaching. John 15:5-8 lets us know that Christ is the vine and we are the branches and we must stay attached to Him. We must ask ourselves whether we have been walking in obedience to the Father and spend time in His Word. When we spend time with God is when we have a more productive life.

The heart of a righteous man is what God says it looks like. Isaiah 64:6 says our righteousness is as filthy rags. As a righteous man, a man needs to have his sword which is the Word of God. The Word affects our character and shapes how we feel. God is interested in how we treat others and a righteous man must treat others well. Matthew 25:34 speaks of the righteous being accepted into the kingdom because they were kind to others. However, those who show no compassion to others would be cast into hell. We are part of the body of a church. We are relational and God takes how we serve each other very seriously. The devil is constantly throwing temptations of different sorts at us like selections on a menu. Be exhorted not to take anything off of that menu, though. Sins like pride, slander, love of money are sent our way, but we should not take them.

Righteous men find themselves in relationships of accountability. This means that there are persons who step into their lives and ask questions such as: have you lied about anything this week? Have you had any adulterous interactions this week? The final question is have you lied about any of the questions just asked? Men (and women) not accountable to each other will find themselves in crisis. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that God is roaming through out earth looking for men who would serve Him.

The anointing has a purpose and the heart of a righteous man understands the purpose of this anointing. Isaiah 61 says that the Spirit of the Lord is upon me. . .to proclaim Good News and goes on to list all that the anointing is for e.g. To heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, to comfort those who mourn etc. Brothers and sisters, do you have the heart of a righteous man? Are you in a relationship with Christ, or will you spend eternity in hell?
