Scripture Verse – Acts 19:1-20

It was never the will of God to dwell in a vessel made with human hands. The purpose of redemption is what dwells in the ark, now dwells in us. We are the temple of the living God. His supernatural power is on the inside of us.

God’s will is not for some to have a powerful experience with Him but for all. He does not want us to be spiritual beggars but to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, to be filled with His power. This anointing makes a difference in our lives. If we try to live this Christian life without the Holy Spirit, it will be the biggest frustration that we will have. We can’t live for God in our own strength.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. John 1:12 (NKJV)

Apostle Paul had such an anointing that when his handkerchief touched people, they were healed of their infirmities and sicknesses. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood. Sickness and disease comes from the devil (Job 2:7). There was no sickness in the Garden of Eden and there will be no sickness in heaven.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38 (NKJV)

God anointed Jesus with power. After being in the wilderness, praying and fasting, Jesus returned in the power of the Holy Ghost (Luke 4:1-15). He is our greatest example of how we should live, in the power of the Holy Ghost. We can’t live like Jesus in the flesh. We can’t live this life on our own. Because of this, God gave His Son to us freely. The things of God cannot be bought with money (Acts 8:14-25). It can only be bought with a hunger and a thirst for the deeper things. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).

What is revival? Revival is the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit blowing upon men and women making them into the image of Christ. It empowers them to live a godly life. Acts 19 shows how a city can be shaken by the Holy Spirit. Revival is not a program but it is the move of the Holy Spirit.

There is a tangible anointing that rests on men and women who give themselves entirely to God. There is an overflow, when the Holy Spirit fills us. When the Holy Spirit comes alive in us, all weaknesses must bow to the lordship of Jesus Christ. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We shall run and not be weary. We shall walk and not faint.

We don’t ask God to send revival. We carry revival on the inside of us. It does not matter how we feel, we walk by faith and not by sight. We are anointed and blessed. The wicked shall perish but the godly shall inherit the land. When revival comes, it will destroy the world system that tries to make us poor. We don’t have to beg for power. All power has already been given to us.
