Living According To Heaven Apostolic Convention Session 2

As human beings, we act emotionally. Jesus came so we could overcome our emotions. We were created in God’s image and in His likeness. He is an emotional God. He cries, He laughs and He gets angry just like us. Remember when Israel frustrated Him and He told Moses that He would destroy them? We must think through things first before we act or else our emotions will take us to a place where we don’t have the strength for sustenance.

The word ‘curse’ is defined as “the expression of a wish that misfortune befalls a person.” Some families carry generational curses and even though we are saved, because of religion, anything that happens to us in life, we attribute them to the curse. It is important to remember, who God blesses no man can curse. Genesis 9: 1-20 speaks of the many blessings which God declared on Noah and his family after the flood. Genesis 9:1 sets the stage for the many blessings, “And God blessed Noah and his sons and said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth”. This was an awesome declaration made by God for Noah and for us. Noah offered worship up to God in thanksgiving and God was pleased and favoured him (Genesis 8:20-22). When we worship God, it goes up to Him as a sweet smelling savour. A climate of worship is necessary.

As a result of Noah’s drinking, many generations after were affected (Genesis 9:18-28). Alcohol brings a curse and an addition. Noah was drunk from the fruit of his vineyard and was naked. His son, Ham did not cover him and when he was aware of what happened, he spoke a curse into his son’s life (Genesis 9:25). Alcohol affects our minds and our actions and can become a burden to many. The burden is not ours (Isaiah 10:27). We have freedom because of the anointing (Luke 4:18). As the Church, we have the power to speak into the lives of others, into situations and into our country. Speak freedom into your life! We are royalty. There is no need to walk with our heads down but to walk as Kings in the earth.

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed[d] in heaven.” 20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ. Matthew 16:13-20

We have been given the keys of the Kingdom. Don’t underestimate yourself. You have more potential and power than you think. That job you want, can be yours! That property you want, can be yours! In the name of Jesus, declare Matthew 16 vs. 18-19 over your life! The Church is our Embassy and we have been given diplomatic instructions. What we do with these instructions when we get out of Church is up to us. We can be the curse breaker. We just need to open our mouths and speak declarations of freedom over our lives. Set yourself free! God said He will give us the keys to the kingdom of heaven to bind and to loose. Just use it! Tap in! Use your mouth to break curses! Speak prosperity and blessings over your life, your marriage and your children! You are free to function, release!

We are in an ambassadorial situation. The key is what we say with our mouths. Don’t let people curse you or say negative things over your life. If this happens, don’t repeat it. Make it a practice not to repeat those negative things. Counter act them with what God says about you. As human beings, we like to repeat those things that are negative, and so by repeating words and situations we are setting a negative atmosphere and reinforcing it. This is called control. This is how people control us. They say how they want us to operate and we repeat it and act it out.

Be a diplomat, you have authority. You have the prophetic download for living heaven on earth. Jesus is backing us up. The key to everything is in your mouth. You have a choice to obey. When you do what God says, He will provide. Your house has diplomatic immunity. The blood of Jesus is your shield and protector; at home, at work, on the road, wherever you go. Your charge is a diplomatic charge, be aware of your charge and the authority placed in you. Step out in the name of Jesus!
