Living According To Heaven (Pt.3) – Prophet Dwayne Howard

Many believers don’t understand the barriers in their lives. God wants us to be on fire. He also wants us to be like Isaiah (Isaiah 6:1-13). There are 3 things which caused Isaiah to shift into a new dimension. They are his encounter in the place of revelation, sanctification and edification.

We are on the escalator of the Spirit of God and there is no settling. You are going up the escalator but if you get off, you will miss your new dimension and have to play catch up. Time is short and there are things that have to be done. The Spirit of God is moving swiftly and we need to keep on the escalator of the Spirit. We cannot choose to go on the stairs because we will put ourselves in danger. Don’t disqualify yourself if God didn’t disqualify you, you need to stay in tune.

We are called as kings and priests but if we are called to see the King, the flesh must die. One of the things that qualifies us to enter into the realm of encounter is the fear of the Lord (Psalm 25:14). God has encounters setup for us and we are called to live consistently in that place of encounter. He is getting us ready for the age to come. There is an outpouring to the church and also to our lives . We must embrace the fear of the Lord because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 1:7, 19:23, 22:4, Isaiah 11:3, Acts 9:31).

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10

Isaiah saw the Lord in the year that King Uzziah died. There are six traits that hindered the development of the fear of the Lord in King Uzziah’s life (2 Chronicles 26).

1) He removed himself from spiritual leadership (2 Chron. 26:3-5).
Uzziah only sought God at the beginning of his journey in the day of Zechariah. The spirit of pride causes us to miss spiritual leadership. We work according to the will of the Father and not our own. When we step out of spiritual leadership, we loose spiritual direction.

2) He allowed the fame to make him lame (2 Chron. 26:8-15).
When we allow pride and fame to consume us, our momentum stops immediately in the Spirit. We need to ask God to search our hearts. We can’t have discernment without the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord gives revelation and opens up everything to us which is true.

3) He misinterpreted victory as validation (2 Chron. 26:15).
The goodness of God leads sinners to repentance. God is good and severe. We might be victorious but that does not mean that God is on our side. We might be interpreting victory as validation. God puts things in our hearts to test us and to test our faith.

4) He dishonoured God’s protocol and order (2 Chron. 26:16-17).
God has an order of doing things and we have to honour it. When pride steps in, it blinds us. Our flesh must submit to the Spirit of God.

5) He refused to embrace correction and humility (2 Chron. 26:18-19).
We need to humble ourselves and ask God to do what He wants to do in us so that we can be more like Him. The primary objective is for there to be internal transformation in us. Religion needs to take a back seat, we need to crush the head of the serpent called religion. If we want to have revelation and to enter through the door which God opens, we need to receive the fear of God.

6) He chose to live with his lust in isolation (2 Chron. 26:19-21).
When God comes in His glory, there will be a strong spirit of conviction and holiness which will drive us to our knees. If we want revelation and encounters and if we want to live in a place of fire, we must choose not to live with our lust in isolation.
