A shift needs to be made because we cannot use the same strategies of the past for today. We have to align ourselves before it is too late. We have been peace time Christians for a while but the context of the scriptures is base on warfare which is contending for something. We need an army not to fight an earthly battle but we need to equip ourselves with the weapons that are not carnal but are mighty to tear down strongholds.
When we pray prayers for God to heal the Nation, these will be prayers that God will say no too. When we ask God to reach our neighbour, He will say no to that also because we cannot delegate to God what He has already delegated to us.
We have to start pastoring the congregation on the outside of the church. In this season we cannot wait for people to come to church, we have to go to them. It is not sufficient that we have signs and wonders in the church building. We also need to see signs and wonders in the work places and homes because the harvest is coming.
God takes the weak and broken people and use them to save nations. All excuses we were falling on for the destiny that God has given us is over. God does not need us, He choose us because we are weak. We should never feel ashamed of what we have done because those are the qualifications for ministry. The gift of discernment is seeing into someone who God is and created them to be.
Mercy is holding punishment that someone deserves. Can the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be merciful to one another? The answer is no. Can the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be gracious to one another? Grace is giving someone something that they don’t deserve or earn. God cannot display it within the Trinity so that is why He created man. God created man so that He can show grace and mercy.
Jesus said that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. We wouldn’t get attack by a gate unless we are going somewhere. How can we call ourselves Christians who follow Christ and yet not show faith. You don’t have to train a lover how to share their love so we don’t need to be trained to do evangelism. We just need to have a personal encounter with God. We need to know God. We cannot say that we are saved and don’t do the works of God. We cannot serve two masters. What are our priorities? We contend for something but still it does not exist in our lives. We need to present God in all different ways because God is a creative God. We need not be in a holy bubble waiting for Jesus to return.
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NKJV)
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 (NKJV)
The solution to the problems in the world is to preach. We must go public with the gospel and ask ourselves what is our assignment. Every person who around us and not living for God is our assignment.
