God heard the cry of man for life and freedom. He answered this call by sending His Son, Jesus to die on the cross. He answered the call at the day of Pentecost by sending the Holy Spirit. The same power that is in Jesus lives in us.

There is shroud and sheet that came over the people when Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden (Isaiah 25:7). This must be removed in order for us to be fully conquer every situation in our lives. When this happens, there is then an open heaven over us. If heaven is not opened, all of our efforts are in vain.

After Jesus came, the Spirit remained and lived in the people. In the Old Testament, the Spirit only overshadowed the people of Israel. However, we are now in a new covenant because of Jesus. Jesus was filled and led by the Spirit. He was baptized by the Spirit before His ministry began (Mark 1:10, Luke 4:1, John 1:33). There was a preparation for a great ministry to come. When He was baptized, the power of God came upon Him. When Jesus was baptized, it was for the commission of God upon His life (1 John 5:7-8). Likewise, we need the baptism of the Holy Spirit of fire and power. If Jesus was baptized, how much more us?

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is an outward manifestation. It is not a matter of talk but of power (1 Corinthians 4:20). We cannot say that we are baptized and there is no evidence in our life.  When the Holy Spirit came, the disciples received power (Acts 1:8).

Even though Jesus endured suffering, He conquered it. He saw purpose in it because of the power that was in Him. He was not consumed by His suffering but by the will of God. He saw His suffering as just a cup (Matthew 26:39).

The power of the Holy Spirit does not see failure. Therefore, we need to change our language and mindset. Many of us say that we are failures. However, there needs to be a change in the way we view our lives. God is greater and bigger than any problem. His power is greater.

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 (NKJV)

Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy. In Him, dwells all power. All power belongs to Him (Psalm 62:11). He was empowered to rule in the midst of His enemies (Psalm 110:2). Therefore, in order for us to defeat the enemy, we need to be empowered. With the power of the Holy Spirit, we will do great exploits and prevail against every trial. To triumph over the enemy, we need the power of the Holy Spirit. The enemy has come down to steal, kill and destroy (Revelations 12:11-12). However, the power of God is greater than the works of the enemy. The power of God is greater than sickness, curses and fear.

God has given us power and authority over the power of the enemy (Isaiah 40:29, Luke 10:19). If we do not have power, the enemy will triumph over our lives. God has not only called us to salvation but to have power over the enemy. Some of us are not using the power that has been given to us. We have been living in darkness. We are like prodigal sons living in swine. But we need to return. We need to return to Jesus. There is evil all over the land and we need to arise and be violent for the Kingdom of God (Matthew 11:12). We have the power to conquer every evil work.
