1 Cor. 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power. The kingdom of God is to impact the world, overcome the enemy.
If we are to destroy the devil’s works as Jesus did, we need two things from God: power and authority.
Luke 10:19 Jesus, speaking to His disciples, told them that He had given them authority to walk on scorpions and to overcome all the enemy’s power. The fact is that we have been given authority over all the enemy’s work so that we can overcome anything the enemy brings our way. We have the authority to set people free. However, we operate far below what we should because we do not realise the power given to us. We have more power than the enemy!
We do not realise the power in us, so we run from the enemy. Jesus said that He gave us authority over all the enemy’s work. We cannot dislodge the enemy without the supernatural power given to us by God. Even the gospel that we preach is power. If we are to declare the message of the kingdom, then we must demonstrate the might of the kingdom.
Matt 12:28: Jesus stated that whenever He cast out demons, the kingdom of God came to those He cast them out of. The same obtains when someone is saved.
Luke 6: 17-19 speaks of Jesus healing those tormented by unclean spirits.
Mark 16: 15 Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. . .do not worry about whether people will be healed when you pray for them- just do it! In China, the Church is growing by leaps and bounds because the people are very dependent on God.
There is power and authority in you to heal. Just do it, because you have been called to declare the message of the kingdom. Too many people are sick, but the church of Jesus Christ is available to them. We have authority over all the devil’s works. He will begin to shake when the Church awakens to who it really is.
If healing and miracles died with the apostles, then God is dead. We also have power. Acts 1:8 Jesus said, speaking to His disciples (which includes us) that they would receive power and would be His witnesses all over the earth. Jesus said we would receive power, but it is not flowing because our minds are fixed on speaking in tongues. We need to activate that power that is already there.
Get more power and speak tongues less. Holiness is also powerful. A holy life is essential and therefore so is intimacy with the Father. The saints in NDM will do mighty work. Authority and power have been given to us, but we are not really using it. Faith must happen here, not just in Africa, India and China.
The anointing is also necessary to operate in the supernatural. There is an anointing upon all of us. Jesus said: “The Spirit of The Lord is upon me. . .” You have power and authority over the works of darkness. You need to activate that power. People run from certain things of God because God’s power is not activated in them.
