Living According To Heaven (Pt.4) – Prophet Dwayne Howard

The secret of the Lord is revealed to those who fear Him (Psalm 25:14). The spirit of wisdom and revelation comes to reveal Jesus (Ephesians 1:17). It is a spirit. The spirit of prophecy is also a spirit. It is an extension of the Holy Spirit that brings us insight (Revelations 19:10).

Before a queen or a king comes, there is preparation and there is someone who prepares the way and heralds their coming. The herald gives declarations of the coming of a king. In Matthew 25, someone came to herald and announced that the bridegroom was there to the ten virgins. In the same way, the spirit of prophecy is like the Lord’s herald. The Holy Spirit’s responsibility is to reveal the Son of Man and this is the same way that the spirit of prophecy works. There is preparation that precedes encounter. There was a preparation before Isaiah saw the Lord. He saw the Lord and we too are called to see.

There are things in the spiritual realm that try to stop the things that are to come to us. In the book of Daniel, there was a war in the heavenlies that tried to delay the promises of God. The promise of the Lord will come to pass. It was delayed and not denied. No word that has been spoken over our lives will return to Him void. Daniel did not give up, he kept in position. He had a determination and a fervour for the word of the Lord. We have to press in just like Daniel. We can’t be sleeping in this season. We have to be awake. The Kingdom suffers violence but the violent take it by force.

God takes time to chasten those who He loves. If you are not getting chastened, something is wrong. We have to embrace the fire. Uzziah didn’t embrace the fire. He didn’t follow protocol. There are certain lines that you do not cross with God. Uzziah chose to live in a place of isolation with leprosy. God does not want us to run away from Him but He wants us to run to Him.

The spirit of prophecy comes and says this atmosphere is right and then Jesus is revealed. Jesus was revealed to Isaiah. This was a time of dedication and consecration for Isaiah. We should have a desire for encounters with God. God is bringing an increase of the spirit of revelation in the earth but we have to be opened. This was Isaiah’s cry, a cry for encounter. Isaiah saw a new revelation of God. When we are focussed on God, we see things differently. We have a different perspective.

There are three dimensions of revelation.
– revelation that expresses itself through the sovereignty of God
God chooses when to reveal and what to reveal. In Exodus 33:14-19, Moses gets caught up in the glory of God. He becomes distracted by God’s glory during the conversation. God said to him that He knows him by name. Moses was caught up. Sometimes we get caught up in purpose and activity and not presence. God wants us to get caught up in His presence. God’s glory is revealed as we walk in purpose. We have to long for God. There is revelation that comes from the sovereignty of God. God chooses. He has something in His mind concerning us and we need to connect with it. His sovereignty saves us. It is His goodness that brings us to repentance.

God was revealing a new aspect of Himself. Moses only knew God as the I am that I am at the burning bush but God was revealing something new. He said He will proclaim the name of the Lord before Moses. The Lord here refers to Jehovah. God was revealing a new dimension to Moses. It takes God to reveal God. He is revealing something new to us and as we behold it, we are transformed internally to walk a different walk and to go higher.

-revelation from being hidden in Christ
There is a place by God where we are called to stand on the rock (Exodus 33:21). We are called to stand on the rock, the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). God is creating a cleft in the rock for us. We have to live a life that hidden in the cleft of the rock. When we live there, we move to another level of revelation. It is time for us to move to another level, to a deeper level (Hebrews 6:1-2). We have a part to play. We have to keep hidden in Christ, keep His commandments and love Him (John 14:21). When we are hidden in Christ, no law can judge us. We come to a place where we can’t break the law. When we love God, He manifests Himself to us. When we are hidden in Christ, we experience the glory of God.

-revelation that comes when God removes His hand
The hand of God refers to the defence and offence of God over our lives (Exodus 33:23). God covers and protects us by His hand. Sometimes we have to go through trials and tribulations but at the end of it, there is a greater glory. There is another dimension. We will have to suffer and enter into the sufferings of Christ but God is working in us so that we can walk into a new dimension.
