The Power Of A Transformed Life – Part 9
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV)
The Apostle Paul was almost begging the people to be holy in Romans 12. It is your reasonable service, you can only do it by the mercies of God. At the end of the day, God is glorified because of His mercy. God’s forgiveness and justification is a part of the mercy He extends to us. Everything that we achieve hinges upon God’s help towards us. Offering your body as a living sacrifice is a spiritual act. We must come to God on His terms, not ours. We cannot breathe another breath unless God allows us to.
9 And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelations 5:9-10 (NKJV)
God made us kings and priests to reign with Him. Worship is about who we consider to be worthy of our time and affections. Jaye Thomas once said, “Worship is the response to the revelation that we have been redeemed by His blood. Worship is key to fulfilling our assignment”.
Our body is not only human, but it is physical and you need to offer all of who you are as a living sacrifice to God. Offer all of who we are without taking it back. Worship is releasing ourselves to Him. Singing must spring from the revelation of God’s mercy. There is a deliberate satanic attack against our worship and the spirit of Jezebel is seeking to shut down the prophetic voice in the church (Revelations 2:20-23). Allow the Holy Spirit to bring any hint of sexual immorality to the forefront.
God requires all from us. We need to know when to put our mind away so that our spirit can pray. As soon as we take our mind off of our problems and put it on God, revelation comes. Do not pattern yourself after the world. We are being made perfect every day. God said walk before Me and be perfect. This perfection comes through the mercies of God.
