When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house. 2 Chronicles 7:1-2 (NKJV)
The fire that came from heaven was not glory but rather the fire came before the glory. Fire prepares the way for the glory to come (Psalm 97:3, Psalm 24). Prayer prepares the way for the fire to come. Glory is defined as the wealth and the riches that God has in His reservoir that He wants to pour on us. He wants to make us gates that will bring impact and transformation to the earth.
In order for us to step into jubilee, there must be divine order and obedience. Prophetic order must always come before personal order. When God speaks a prophetic word over our lives, His sovereignty is seen. In this season, we cannot be stuck in ignorance. The fool denies God because he says in his heart, there is no God. Everyone should have a prophetic decree in their lives from God even if it comes from reading the Word or from someone giving a prophetic word.
We are seeds of Christ but seeds of Abraham through Christ. The blessings of Abraham have also been given unto us, God’s children. The winds of heaven have been released for God’s people. The harvest is going to come but we must be found in Christ. We must remain steady in Him. If there is any sin in our lives, we must come to a place of repentance and alignment. Our past does not matter, only our present and our future.
With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:6-8 (NKJV)
We have been called to walk humbly with God. Humility is much greater than pride. Jubilee comes when we are in a place of humility and meekness before God. In our daily lives, our prayers should be to ask God to search our hearts and see if there is any wicked way in us. A burnt offering was made for the forgiveness of sin. The perfect burnt offering is found in Jesus Christ (Genesis 22:18). Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we have been forgiven of all our sins. If we are still sinning, we are doing it habitually.
A prophetic word does not only bring purpose but it also brings identity. When we have no witness of our identity, we live a life that is not pleasing to God. God is looking for persons who will live a life that brings pleasure unto Him. He is looking for volunteers in the day of His power. He is looking for those who will sacrifice their lives for Him. Obedience calls for sacrifice.
The free will offering is when we give according to the purposes of God. It is when we give of ourselves, our monies and our abilities. It is place where we are not commanded but we do it willingly. When we volunteer and give of ourselves, the Lord will release His glory and power. A sheep offering was a first fruit offering given to God. When we give God everything, we are giving an offering to Him. He is the only source in our lives. When the fire meets our offerings, the glory comes.
