The name, New Dimensions is prophetic. It speaks to our DNA and experience. This name does not speak to a one time move of God but a continual encounter. In Luke 3, God declares that Jesus is His Son in whom He is well pleased. The enemy then came up against this identity that was spoken. Similarly, the enemy will try to distract us from living out our identity. He will try to hinder us from experiencing new dimensions. His goal is to keep us out of purpose, to keep us in a rut. As a result, we end up being focussed on the things of the world (television, social media and entertainment). However, today God is breaking us, the church out of the rut.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV)
– Hunger and Thirst
We need a deep hunger and thirst for God (Psalm 42:1, Matthew 5:6). It is the key to experiencing the presence of God. If we find ourselves lacking desire for God and His presence, then we need a breaking away from stagnation. We need to get hungry. Hunger is not only a feeling but it also requires action. It is a reoccurring phenomenon. If we are not hungry, then something is wrong.
Our appetites can expand and contract. When we eat more, we desire more. When we eat less, we desire less. Our appetites can also be spoilt with negative desires and bad food. Many times, the Holy Spirit invites us to come close but we ignore and do something else. We are too busy.
-Faith
The enemy will use times of delay to plant seeds of doubt and unbelief within our hearts. He plants lies within us which say that God will not do what He said He would do. During these times of delay, we need faith to believe that God can and that He will (Hebrews 6:12).
Even though we may not see it in the natural, God is working behind the scenes and working it out for our good (Romans 8:28). We just need to believe. We may not see the full picture but God does and He knows what He is doing. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6). Faith without works is dead. When we believe, we must put actions to it. We must pray and war over the prophecies spoken. We must begin to knock, seek, and ask (Luke 11:9-13). God is faithful. God will keep His promises. He will keep His covenant with you.
– Patience
It is important for us to wait and not rush (Colossians 1:11, Hebrews 12:1). Yes we may get tired of waiting but we must continue. When we become impatient, we miss the presence of God. We turn to strange fires. We turn to winds of false doctrine. Patience and stagnant are two different things. Patience does not mean lack of progression.
