Jubilee is not an ordinary season. It is a time of restoration and of blessings. Jubilee is a kairos moment for us. It is a set time by God where what He has spoken over our lives comes to pass. In Jubilee, we declare no oppression. We declare productivity and liberty. We declare restoration and a release from heaven. It is a time of God’s favour.

In this time, we must position ourselves for what God wants to do in our lives and in our nation. We have a responsibility to be in the place where God wants us to be. We have to be devoted to God. Because it is Jubilee, it does not mean that we approach this time casually/callously. In Jubilee, we must be serious about what God wants to do. We have to respond by moving in the direction of heaven. We are a couple seasons behind and we must move quickly to be in alignment with God’s agenda. We have to be in the right place at the right time. Therefore, we must earnestly seek God for the spirit of discernment. We must have an understanding of the times and the seasons.

18 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen. 21 This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise. 22 “But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; and you have been weary of Me, O Israel. 23 You have not brought Me the sheep for your burnt offerings, nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not caused you to serve with grain offerings, nor wearied you with incense. 24 You have bought Me no sweet cane with money, nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened Me with your sins, You have wearied Me with your iniquities. Isaiah 43:18-24 (NKJV)

The church must not lag behind but rather must be aware of what God is doing in the earth. God is doing something new in the earth but the church has not called upon Him. He has spoken but the church is not aware. God is about to do a new thing in Barbados today but the church must perceive it. We must ask God to open our eyes so that we can see what He is about to do. As a result of our unawareness, we have not given God all of our worship. The church has become worldly. In order for us to truly have Jubilee, the church must repent. The old things must pass away and all things must become new.

“Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited. “Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, and will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. Isaiah 54:1-4 (NKJV)

When God speaks, there must be a response from us. When we receive a prophetic word, we should come to a place of alignment. We must war with our prophecies. 2016 will be a year of changing hearts and bringing ourselves into divine order. It will be a year of tremendous miracles. It will be a year where God will be challenging us until we come into divine order and alignment. It will be a year where the church will be reshaped. God is vacuuming the church and sucking out things that are not of Him.

This is our time to bear fruit. When we come into divine order and alignment, we will bear fruit. Our impact will be greater in our communities and workplaces. Our businesses will expand to the left and to the right. God will move on our behalf. Many things have been held up because we were not in the right place. When we come into divine order, heaven will open up. It is God’s set time for our lives. When we honour Him, we will not be ashamed. What we set out to do, it shall be accomplished. We shall see the fulfillment of God’s word. We will not be put to shame.

Ask God for insight. This is a season of recompense. We will be repaid for the things taken from us. It is the season of the overflow and of revival for the church.
